Ukrainian Air Force MiG-29 Delivered

Ukraine received the remaining nine MiG-29 aircraft pledged by Slovakia, completing a transfer of thirteen airframes. The first four had been flown in by Ukrainian pilots in March; the rest were dismantled and moved by road, and were expected to serve as a source of airframes and spare parts as much as immediately flyable aircraft. The MiG-29 remains a mainstay of the Ukrainian fighter force, flown in air defence and, with adapted Western weapons, in ground attack, and the fleet had been steadily eroded by combat and accident losses since the invasion began.
