Description
A Royal Danish Air Force T-17 Supporter crashed into a field near Herrup, in central Jutland, during a training flight. Eyewitnesses said the aircraft struck a high-voltage line, and about 1,300 households in the area lost power briefly. Both occupants, an instructor and a student, survived and were treated for their injuries. Denmark's armed forces grounded the T-17 fleet after the accident and returned the type to flight once no technical fault had been found, but the damaged aircraft did not fly again. The T-17 is the air force's elementary trainer and liaison aircraft.
