Indonesian Air Force Rafale Ordered

The second tranche of eighteen Rafale fighters under Indonesia's forty-two-aircraft acquisition came into force and entered Dassault Aviation's order backlog. The manufacturer said the step brought Indonesia's firm Rafale commitments to twenty-four, following the first six-aircraft tranche activated in September 2022. The contract covers training, support and industrial cooperation alongside the aircraft themselves. Indonesia signed the framework agreement in February 2022 and has activated it in stages as financing was secured, a structure that lets the country commit progressively to what will be the largest combat aircraft purchase in its history.
