Pakistan Navy Sea King 45/HAR3/HC4 Crash

A Pakistan Navy Sea King crashed during a routine training flight near Gwadar, on the Balochistan coast, killing all three crew members aboard. The navy said a technical problem appeared to have caused the accident and opened a formal investigation. The Sea King has served Pakistani naval aviation for decades in the anti-submarine, search-and-rescue and coastal transport roles, flying from shore bases along the Arabian Sea and from the fleet's larger surface combatants. The loss removed one airframe from a small and ageing rotary-wing force that Pakistan has sought to modernise with newer maritime helicopters bought from Europe and China.
