Description
Taiwan's Aerospace Industrial Development Corporation delivered four T-5 Brave Eagle advanced jet trainers to the Republic of China Air Force, flying them from the company's Taichung plant to Zhihang Air Base in Taitung County. The batch completed the seventeen aircraft scheduled for delivery during 2023 and brought the total handed over to twenty-seven of the sixty-six on order. The Brave Eagle is a domestically developed derivative of the F-CK-1 Ching-kuo fighter, intended to replace the air force's AT-3 trainers and F-5E/F Tiger IIs, with the full fleet planned to be in service by 2026.
