Israel Air and Space Force Hermes 900 Shot down

The Israel Defense Forces confirmed on 1 June 2024 that one of its drones had been brought down by a surface-to-air missile while operating over southern Lebanon. Hezbollah claimed the interception and identified the aircraft as a Hermes 900. According to The Times of Israel it was the fourth Israeli drone shot down by Hezbollah over Lebanon since the fighting began, comprising two Hermes 450s and two Hermes 900s. The loss came on a day of heavy Hezbollah rocket fire at northern Israel and further Israeli strikes in southern Lebanon.
