Royal Navy AW101 Merlin HC4/4A/HM2 Crash

A Royal Navy Merlin Mk4 helicopter ditched in the English Channel off Dorset during a night-flying exercise with HMS Queen Elizabeth. The Ministry of Defence said rescue crews recovered two occupants and that a third crew member was killed. No other fatalities or serious injuries were reported. An investigation was opened into the cause of the accident.
