Russian Ground Forces Orion (Inokhodets) Fleet Update

Oryx documented the destruction of a Russian Kronshtadt Orion combat drone on 24 September 2024, based on photographic evidence of the wreckage. The circumstances of the loss were not stated. It was the second Orion visually confirmed lost within six weeks, after an aircraft documented destroyed on 14 August. The Orion is Russia's principal medium-altitude long-endurance armed drone and has been used over Ukraine for reconnaissance and strikes with guided munitions since the early weeks of the war.
