Russian Air Force Su-25 Fleet Update

On 2 October 2024 a Russian military aviation Telegram channel announced the loss of a Russian Air Force Su-25 attack aircraft and the death of its pilot, publishing a photograph of the type with a farewell message. Neither the location nor the cause was disclosed. Oryx records the aircraft as destroyed on the basis of this acknowledgement. It is separate from the Su-25 wreck seen being transported by truck four days later.
