Qatar Emiri Air Force Eurofighter Typhoon Ordered

The Qatar Emiri Air Force confirmed in early December 2024 that it is buying twelve additional Eurofighter Typhoons, which will raise its fleet to 36 aircraft when added to the 24 ordered from BAE Systems under the 2017 agreement with the United Kingdom, Defence Industry Europe reported. The new aircraft will be built at BAE's Warton plant in Lancashire, extending the Typhoon production line, and the final two jets of the initial order were expected in Qatar by the end of 2025. Qatar's fighter fleet also includes 36 Rafales and 48 F-15QAs. Militarnyi put the value of the follow-on order at about 2.8 billion pounds.
