United States Air Force AT-802 Delivered

Air Force Special Operations Command received its first missionized OA-1K Skyraider II, the armed and sensor-equipped configuration of the crop-duster-derived Air Tractor AT-802 developed with L3Harris. The aircraft is intended for armed overwatch, close air support and intelligence gathering in permissive airspace, freeing higher-end assets for contested environments. The type entered service in April 2025 and suffered its first write-off in October when a student pilot inadvertently shut off the fuel supply during a training flight over Oklahoma.
