Peruvian Air Force KT-1P Crash

A KAI KT-1P of the Peruvian Air Force crashed on an islet south of the Paracas Peninsula. The sole pilot was not recovered. Peru operates the KT-1P, a locally assembled version of the South Korean KT-1 Woongbi turboprop, as its basic and advanced trainer, with a number of airframes built under licence by the state aerospace company SEMAN. The type also serves in a light attack role.
