Russian Air Force Tu-95 Destroyed

On 1 June 2025 Ukrainian SBU first-person-view drones launched from trucks parked near several Russian air bases struck Long-Range Aviation aircraft in Operation Spiderweb. Satellite imagery analysed by The War Zone showed three Tu-95MS strategic bombers destroyed at Belaya air base in Irkutsk Oblast and three to four at Olenya air base in Murmansk Oblast, for six to seven confirmed losses; Oryx documented seven Tu-95MS destroyed and three more damaged. The Tu-95MS has been out of production since the early 1990s, so the destroyed bombers cannot be replaced.
