Description
An Embraer A-29 Super Tucano of the Brazilian Air Force crashed near Porto Ferreira, Sao Paulo state, after colliding in mid-air with another Super Tucano of the same force. The pilot of the destroyed aircraft ejected safely, while the second Super Tucano landed without further incident. The A-29 is central to Brazilian light attack, border surveillance and advanced training, and is flown extensively in close formation, including by the Esquadrilha da Fumaca display team.
