Description
A UH-60L Black Hawk of the Colombian National Police was brought down near Amalfi in Antioquia department while supporting a manual coca-eradication operation. Initial reports, relayed by AeroTime and Opex360, said an explosive-laden FPV drone struck the helicopter as it came in to land; the Colombian President later stated that the landing site had been prepared in advance with buried explosive charges, and The War Zone noted that the exact method of attack remained unclear. According to the President, at least 12 police officers were killed and several others seriously injured. He blamed FARC dissident factions active in the area.
