Republic of Singapore Air Force P-8A Ordered

Singapore announced on 10 September 2025 that it would acquire four Boeing P-8A Poseidon maritime patrol aircraft, after its Defence Minister informed his US counterpart of the decision at the Pentagon, Breaking Defense reported. The aircraft form the first phase of an effort to strengthen maritime security and will replace the Republic of Singapore Air Force's Fokker 50s. The US State Department later approved the Foreign Military Sale, notified to Congress in January 2026.
