Venezuelan Military Aviation Enstrom 480 Crash

An Enstrom 480 helicopter of the Bolivarian Military Aviation of Venezuela crashed in Girardot Municipality, Aragua, killing both crew members. Venezuela acquired the Enstrom 480 as a basic rotary-wing trainer, and the fleet supports initial helicopter instruction. It was the second Venezuelan military aviation loss of 2025 after a Cessna 208B crash in Amazonas in July, both occurring against a backdrop of severe maintenance and spares constraints on the Venezuelan fleet.
