Argentinian Navy S-2 Retired

The Argentine Navy retired its S-2T Turbo Tracker anti-submarine aircraft on 2 December 2025, Zona Militar reported. In the afternoon the last aircraft, 2-AS-23, took off for a final flight over Bahía Blanca and folded its wings after landing at Comandante Espora Naval Air Base in front of the Navy's senior leadership. The type had served with the Naval Anti-Submarine Squadron since the first Trackers arrived in 1962, and Argentina was the last country flying it operationally.
