Royal Thai Army Bell 212 Damaged

A Royal Thai Army Bell 212 made a hard landing at Surin airport on the evening of 22 December 2025 after losing stability during a routine mission along the Thai-Cambodian border in Surin province. The Second Army Region said the helicopter experienced control problems, that a fire which broke out around the aircraft shortly after landing was quickly extinguished, and that public safety was not compromised. The four crew members aboard were injured and taken to a military hospital in stable condition, according to the Army. An investigation was opened into the cause. The extent of the damage was not disclosed.
