Description
The CC-130H(T) air-to-air refuelling Hercules of the Royal Canadian Air Force were retired with the rest of the CC-130H fleet in January 2026, according to the Government of Canada, which said in August 2026 that the twelve retired aircraft included ten being sold to Coulson Aviation for firefighting conversion. The tanker-capable Hercules served with 435 Transport and Rescue Squadron at 17 Wing Winnipeg, which Skies Mag reported would begin converting to the CC-295 Kingfisher from April 2026, with some H-models kept on the line until the new type holds search-and-rescue posture. The RCAF's C-130J fleet is unaffected.
