Myanmar Air Force K-8 Delivered

Two K-8 light attack and training jets were among four combat aircraft commissioned by Myanmar's military at Meiktila on 12 March 2026, according to Mizzima; the Associated Press reported that photos released by the military showed four jet fighters, two of them Su-30s. Mizzima described the K-8, co-developed by China and Pakistan, as able to carry bombs, unguided rockets and a 23 mm cannon. The ceremony was the sixth commissioning of new aircraft since the military took power.
