Description
An Israeli IAI Heron was shot down over Khorramabad in Lorestan province on 2 March 2026, with the interception recorded in infrared. The Aviation Safety Network logs the loss to Iranian armed forces without naming a weapon; open-source analysts who examined the footage assessed that the drone was probably hit by a Qaem-118, an Iranian short-range surface-to-air missile designed for counter-drone work. English Wikipedia's loss list attributes the shootdown to a "Qaem 114", which appears to be a transcription error — the Qaem-114 is an air-to-surface anti-armour weapon derived from the AGM-114 Hellfire, not an air defence missile. Khorramabad accounted for several Israeli unmanned losses in early March.
