Royal Thai Navy C295 Ordered

The Royal Thai Navy ordered two Airbus C295 aircraft in an enhanced transport configuration, Airbus announced on 27 May 2026. Beyond logistics flights, an electro-optical and infrared sensor suite will let them fly surveillance and search-and-rescue missions, detecting and identifying targets at sea or over land by day and night. The aircraft will be assembled in Seville and operated from U-Tapao air base in Sattahip, with the first delivery due by the end of 2028. The order followed the Royal Thai Air Force's own contract for two C295s.
