Description
A Pakistan Air Force MFI-395 Super Mushshak basic trainer crashed on 15 June 2026 near a roadway in the Katlang area of Mardan district, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, during a routine training sortie. Both crew members were killed — an instructor pilot of the PAF and a Pakistan Navy trainee officer flying aboard the two-seat trainer. Three civilians on the ground were injured. Video circulated showing the aircraft in a near-vertical nosedive before impact, and the airframe was destroyed. The military's media wing confirmed the accident, and Air Headquarters constituted a board of inquiry to determine the cause.
