Description
On 15 July 2026, a Russian Air Force Mi-28 attack helicopter was downed near the village of Vyazovoye in Belgorod Oblast, close to the Ukrainian border. According to Ukrainian sources, operators of the 427th "Rarog" Unmanned Systems Regiment struck the low-flying helicopter with an FPV interceptor drone at around 10:00 local time, publishing video of the strike. Hitting a moving helicopter with an FPV drone is considered one of the most difficult drone missions, and this marks one of the few such confirmed engagements over Russian territory. The fate of the two crew members was not disclosed.
