Description
The U.S. Navy awarded Northrop Grumman a contract worth up to 1.196 billion dollars on 22 July 2026 for the production and delivery of three E-2D Advanced Hawkeye Block II airborne early warning aircraft, together with associated support. The Navy obligated 583.4 million dollars from its fiscal 2026 aircraft procurement account at award, with work running through December 2031 at Melbourne and St. Augustine, Florida, and at supplier sites in the United States, France and the United Kingdom. The Block II standard introduces a new computing architecture and expanded processing capacity intended to host future sensors and networking as carrier air wings are modernised.
