The Colombian Aerospace Force signed a 366.4 million dollar contract with Embraer on 4 August 2026 for two KC-390 Millennium multi-mission transports, making Colombia the first Latin American operator of the type outside Brazil and the thirteenth customer overall. The package covers 319.9 million dollars for the aircraft and 46.5 million for mission equipment, satellite communications, navigation systems, simulator training, ground support equipment and 24 months of integrated logistics support. One airframe will carry probe-and-drogue refuelling pods, the other is configured for transport. Deliveries are due by 30 October 2029 and 30 November 2030. The order replaces ageing C-130B/H Hercules airlifters and provides tanker support for Colombia's 17 Gripen E/F fighters.
