Description
A UH-60M Black Hawk of the Mexican Air Force lost power shortly after taking off from the El Salto military base in the municipality of Pueblo Nuevo, Durango, on 28 August 2026. Video of the accident shows the helicopter losing stability, rotating about its own axis and striking the ground inside the installation. All seven military personnel aboard sustained minor contusions and were treated by military medical staff; there were no fatalities. The Secretariat of National Defence confirmed the accident and convened the air accident investigation commission of the Mexican Air Force. The cause had not been established at the time of reporting.
