Description
The second batch of six former Royal Danish Air Force F-16s, four single-seat F-16AMs and two twin-seat F-16BMs upgraded under the Mid-Life Update program, landed at the Área Material Río Cuarto in Córdoba province on the evening of 29 September, according to Infodefensa and Argentine press. The jets left Skrydstrup Air Base in Denmark on 22 September and staged through Zaragoza, Gran Canaria and Natal, with in-flight refueling for the Atlantic crossing. The arrival, about three months earlier than planned, brings deliveries to 12 of the 24 aircraft Argentina bought from Denmark in 2024. The fighters will stay at Río Cuarto until infrastructure at the VI Air Brigade in Tandil is ready. The remaining 12 are now expected in 2027.
