Description
The Royal Moroccan Air Force received its first Airbus C295W tactical transport on 29 September 2026, when the aircraft, registered CN-AMT, flew from Airbus Defence and Space's assembly site in Seville to the 3rd Air Base at Kénitra. It had been flying in Moroccan colours in Seville since the spring. Neither Rabat nor Airbus has disclosed the size of the contract: Spanish reporting puts it at two to four aircraft, and a second aircraft is expected. The C295W is a stretched derivative of the CN-235, with winglets and more powerful engines. It joins the service's CN-235, C-27J and C-130H fleets as a complement to the Hercules rather than a replacement.
