Description
An OA-1K Skyraider II of the 492nd Special Operations Wing veered left midway down the runway while landing at Sundance Airport in northwest Oklahoma City on 5 October 2026 and came to rest in the grass, Air & Space Forces Magazine reported. The Oklahoma City Fire Department told News 9 that the aircraft nosed over after landing before coming back upright; its propeller blades were bent. The wing said both crew members were safe and that the cause is under investigation. The mishap came days after the type's formal training unit began training its first class of pilots, and follows the crash-landing of October 2025 near Oklahoma City.
