Description
A T-6A Texan II of the 12th Flying Training Wing at Joint Base San Antonio-Randolph was lost on the evening of 22 October 2026 during a training flight. After receiving unsafe landing gear indications, the two pilots consulted experts on the ground and, on their advice, carried out a controlled bailout at about 5:51 p.m. local time near Seguin, Texas, the base said. Wilson County deputies found both pilots about an hour later near the Wilson-Guadalupe county line, and they were evaluated by local medical personnel. The aircraft came down just inside Gonzales County, where deputies and state troopers located it several hours later. The incident is under investigation.
