Russian Air Force Mi-8 Hip Destroyed

A Russian Mi-8 transport helicopter was destroyed on the ground in occupied Luhansk Oblast on 30 October 2026, according to Ukraine's 3rd Army Corps, which published footage of the strike the same day showing the helicopter hit by strike drones after it had landed and then burning. The Institute for the Study of War relayed the footage as part of Ukraine's mid-range strike campaign against Russian logistics and military assets in the occupied territories. Aviation Safety Network lists the helicopter as destroyed and reports that Russian sources acknowledged the strike and said the crew survived.
