The second and last of the two Airbus A400M Atlas transports Kazakhstan ordered in September 2021 arrived in Almaty on 2 November 2026 after a ferry flight from the Seville final assembly line, the Kazakh Ministry of Defence announced, completing the order. According to Janes, Airbus had begun the aircraft's final acceptance checks in Seville on 1 October, and Kazakhstan has taken its A400Ms without the in-flight refuelling probe fitted to other operators' aircraft. The airlifter joins the Kazakh Air Defense Forces, which will use the pair to carry personnel, equipment and humanitarian cargo. The first aircraft was handed over in Almaty in December 2024.
