Description
Achinsk Airport is a joint-use air base located 4 kilometers east of Achinsk in Krasnoyarsk Krai, Russia. It functions primarily as a civilian airfield but also includes minor facilities for a small number of fighter aircraft. As of 2003, it was designated as a diversionary airfield for the 712th Guards Fighter Aviation Regiment, which is based at Kansk air base. In 2012, plans were outlined to expand the airport's operations to be year-round and extend beyond the Krasnoyarsk region.
