Description

The Teber entered service in 2017 as a precision guidance kit designed to convert Mk 80-series bombs into guided munitions. The system is compatible with Mk 81, Mk 82, and Mk 83 bombs, which are designated Teber-81, Teber-82, and Teber-83 respectively when equipped with the kit.

Guidance is provided by a semi-active laser seeker combined with a Global Positioning System/Inertial Navigation System (GPS/INS). This configuration enables a circular error probable (CEP) of less than three meters. The system is integrated for use on F-16 and F-4E fixed-wing aircraft, as well as the T-129 ATAK rotary-wing platform.

The Teber is operated by Turkey, Azerbaijan, and Pakistan. It has been used in combat operations in Syria and Iraq. Several thousand units have been produced for these operators.
