Azov Naval Base (Азовська військово-морська база)

Azov Naval Base was the Ukrainian Navy's base at Berdiansk, on the northern shore of the Sea of Azov, and the only base the navy established on that sea. Russian forces took the city and the base on 27 February 2022, and it has not operated as a Ukrainian installation since.

Ukraine created the base in 2018. The search and rescue ship Donbas and the seagoing tug Korets left Odesa for Berdiansk in September of that year to form its core, and Gurza-M class small armoured artillery boats operated in the Sea of Azov from the same date.
