Description
Sunk at 12:11 local time on 21 November 2015 about 1.6 kilometres off Rosarito, Baja California, to create the first Mexican artificial reef built to national and international reef-engineering standards โ the tenth vessel scuttled for this purpose in the country. ARM Uribe (PO-121) was the lead ship of the Uribe-class offshore patrol vessels, designed by Spain's Empresa Nacional Bazรกn and delivered in 1982; the class was the first in Mexican Navy service able to operate the MBB Bo-105 helicopter. The hull had already been withdrawn from active duty some years earlier; sources consulted do not give an exact decommissioning date.
