South Korea Navy ROKS Shin Chae-ho Delivered

HD Hyundai Heavy Industries delivered the submarine Shin Chae-ho (SS-086) to the Republic of Korea Navy on 4 April 2024 at its Ulsan headquarters, Naval News reported. The third Dosan Ahn Changho-class (KSS-III Batch-I) boat was launched in September 2021 and completed a thirty-month test and evaluation period before delivery, after which she proceeded to force integration ahead of operational missions later in 2024. The 3,000-tonne submarine uses a fuel-cell and lead-acid battery air-independent propulsion system and is armed with guided missiles, torpedoes, mines and submarine-launched ballistic missiles fired from a vertical launch system, according to the same report.
