Israel Navy INS Komemiyut Delivered

The landing ship INS Komemiyut docked at the Haifa naval base on 16 June 2024 after a lengthy voyage from the United States, where she was built, The Times of Israel reported. She is the second of two 2,500-tonne vessels of the type acquired by the Israeli Navy, about 95 metres long and 20 metres wide, following INS Nahshon, received in early October 2023. The Navy described the ships as a central pillar in adapting the service to the modern, multi-arena battlefield and expected to declare Nahshon operational during 2024, without giving a timeline for Komemiyut, according to the same report.
