Qatar Navy Al Fulk Delivered

Fincantieri delivered the landing platform dock Al Fulk to the Qatar Emiri Naval Forces on 29 November 2024 at its Muggiano shipyard in La Spezia, Naval News reported. Derived from the Kalaat Beni Abbes delivered to Algeria in 2015, the roughly 143-metre ship can carry up to 550 people and has a flight deck for NH90 helicopters, a vehicle garage and a floodable dock. She carries a Kronos Power Shield L-band radar and two eight-cell Sylver A50 launchers for Aster 30 missiles. The handover completed the 5-billion-euro programme announced in August 2017, which also delivered four Al Zubarah-class corvettes and two Musherib-class patrol vessels, according to the same report.
