Iran Navy IRIS Shahid Bahman Bagheri Delivered

The IRGC Navy accepted delivery of the drone and helicopter carrier Shahid Bahman Bagheri during a ceremony at Bandar Abbas on 6 February 2025. The ship was converted between 2022 and 2024 from the container vessel Perarin at the Iran Shipbuilding and Offshore Industries Complex, gaining a 180-metre angled flight deck with a ski-jump, a hangar and a command island. Iran presented her as capable of operating fixed-wing UAVs, rotary-wing aircraft and fast attack craft. She was struck by U.S. forces at Bandar Abbas in the opening hours of Operation Epic Fury in February 2026.
