Description
The missile corvette FGS Köln (F265) was commissioned at the Blohm+Voss shipyard in Hamburg on 19 September 2025 and reached her home port of Warnemünde on 23 September, MILMAG reported. She is the first of five second-batch K130 Braunschweig-class corvettes (Köln, Emden, Karlsruhe, Augsburg and Lübeck), a programme delayed by at least two years by difficulties integrating the command and weapons control system, Naval News reported in 2022. Christened in 2022, Köln spent eight months at Hohe Düne in 2023-2024 for crew training before entering service.
