Brazil Navy Oiapoque Ordered

The Brazilian Navy signed the contract to acquire the former Royal Navy landing platform dock HMS Bulwark on 10 September 2025, aboard the patrol vessel HMS Mersey during the DSEI exhibition in London, Poder Naval reported; the signatories were the Navy's Director-General of Materiel and the Royal Navy's Second Sea Lord. The 176-metre, 18,500-tonne ship, able to embark 710 troops, is being refurbished at Plymouth with completion planned for 2026, after which she is to be commissioned as the multipurpose dock ship NDM Oiapoque (G350). Brazilian crews trained in the United Kingdom in September and November 2025. Bulwark had been withdrawn from British service in March 2025.
