Indonesia Navy KRI Prabu Siliwangi Commissioned

Indonesia's second Pattugliatore Polivalente d'Altura (PPA) was commissioned at Fincantieri's Muggiano shipyard near La Spezia on 22 December 2025, following sister ship KRI Brawijaya (320). Originally laid down for the Italian Navy as part of the Thaon di Revel programme, both hulls were transferred to Indonesia under a 2024 agreement. The 143-metre, 6,300-tonne ship combines patrol, combat and disaster-relief roles and can be reconfigured between light and full combat fits. Prabu Siliwangi reached Indonesia on 22 March 2026 after a delivery voyage routed around the Cape of Good Hope rather than through the Suez Canal.
