Turkey Navy TCG Hızır Reis Commissioned

TCG Hızır Reis (S-331), the second Reis-class air-independent propulsion submarine, was commissioned into the Turkish Navy at Istanbul Naval Shipyard on 21 December 2025, at a ceremony presided over by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Naval News reported. The same ceremony marked the delivery of the landing ship Ç-159 and an unmanned surface vessel. She joins the lead boat Piri Reis; the third boat, Murat Reis, is expected to enter service by the end of 2026, according to Janes.
