Iran Navy IRIS Shahid Hassan Bagheri Destroyed

Second Shahid Soleimani-class corvette, struck on 10 March 2026 near the Strait of Hormuz as CENTCOM intensified strikes against Iranian naval forces attempting to mine the waterway. CENTCOM released video footage showing a Soleimani-class catamaran corvette being hit. On 11 March, CENTCOM confirmed the destruction of the last of four Soleimani-class warships, effectively eliminating Iran's most advanced surface combatant class. Commissioned in 2024, the 67-metre vessel was armed with 16 Navvab vertically launched missiles and Sayyad-3 surface-to-air missiles.
