Myanmar Navy UMS Thalun Min Commissioned

Commissioned on 8 March 2026 at the Naval Shipyard Headquarters in Yangon alongside the opening of a 40,000-tonne floating dry dock. UMS Thalun Min is Myanmar's largest domestically built warship, an FF-135 type frigate measuring 135 metres and displacing 3,500 tonnes. Launched in December 2024, she completed over 3,400 nautical miles of sea trials in 279 hours before induction. Armed with a 76 mm H/PJ-26 main gun, Type 730B CIWS, C-802 anti-ship missiles, and RBU-6000 ASW rocket launchers.
