Description

Damaged on 25 April 2026 in the same SBU "Alpha" drone operation that struck Yamal and Ivan Khurs at Sevastopol Naval Base. Ukrainian forces launched at least 71 drones overnight in one of the largest strikes on the Russian Black Sea Fleet's main installation. Nikolai Filchenkov, a Tapir-class (Project 1171/Alligator) large landing ship with pennant 152, was commissioned in 1975 and is among the oldest surface combatants in active Russian service. Tapir-class ships displace around 4,360 tonnes and can carry roughly 20 tanks or 300 troops, with bow doors enabling beach landings.
