Description
Damaged on 3 June 2026 when Ukrainian Unmanned Systems Forces drones struck the corvette in the Veleshchynsky dry dock at Kronstadt, near St. Petersburg, over 1,100 km from the front line. The drones hit the upper deck near the mainmast, setting the vessel ablaze and likely damaging its air and surface search radar. Robert Brovdi released drone footage, and Vantor satellite imagery confirmed the fire. The Boikiy, commissioned in 2013, was the first Steregushchiy-class corvette damaged in the war and had been undergoing maintenance since February 2026. It marks the first Ukrainian drone strike on a warship in the Baltic.
